Best 2014 Dividend Stock Pick Returns Beating Both Benchmarks! I started this “tradition” on my blog back in 2012. The goal is to pick 20 US and 10 CDN dividend stocks that I think will outperform their peers. This is the reason why I use VIG and XDV as my benchmarks. I keep track of my results for accountability purposes. I find that too many analysts and blogs just drop the ball on their picks when they aren’t so great. By posting monthly results, I have no choice but to face my …
The Top 20 Most Powerful Dividend Stocks to Buy Now
Last week, I gave as much detail as possible on my dividend growth model. The goal of this model is to build a ranking where all companies would be evaluated based upon several criteria. This leads to The Rock Solid Ranking available exclusively at Dividend Stocks Rock. But I also wanted to share a bit of this ranking with the top 20 most powerful dividend stocks to buy now for your portfolio. Since the ranking is based on fundamentals but also on the current …

I’m taking a quick pause in my new investing series about how to build an investment strategy (read part 1 and part2) to publish my stock pick returns as at March 31st and the usual TSX60 dividend yield and ex-dividend date chart. Another Purchase in My Portfolio
I truly enjoy the month of January as it is usually the time when I have extra cash to fund my retirement investment account. This year, I’m adding $5,000 to my pot. In addition to this amount, I have over $1,500 that was waiting in an US index fund that I will use to buy new stocks. Instead of waiting on a pile of cash, I usually invest my dividend payouts in an index fund. This is a good method to diversify a few hundred bucks at a low cost that benefits from any market upside. I …
