What’s inside the list
A list you can sort and filter in a few minutes. Built for investors who want a shortlist, not a pile of tickers.
- Canadian and US dividend growth stocks
- A dividend safety rating for each company
- More than 10 metrics with filters, so you can narrow it down to what fits your portfolio
- A new version in your inbox every month

Why I look at dividend growth before yield
I used to think dividend stocks yielding under 3% were worthless. Two decades of investing proved me wrong.
A company that raises its dividend every year is showing you its numbers. Sales are up. Profits are up. Management has enough cash to send more of it to you.
Vanguard looked at 20 years of data. Dividend growth stocks beat the market, with less volatility along the way.

That’s the income I want in retirement. A paycheque that grows each year, from companies I don’t have to babysit.
How a stock makes the list
Every company passes five screens. I run them with the same tools I use at Dividend Stocks Rock.
- Growing revenue and earnings. At least 1% a year over five years, adjusted for market cycles.
- Growing dividends. At least 1% a year over five years.
- Financial strength. A strong credit score, so the company can keep paying through a bad year.
- Valuation. A score built from six valuation metrics, including P/E, price-to-cash flow, and dividend yield.
- Reporting and controversies. A score based on what the company reports and any controversies.
Screens 1 and 2 form the Dividend Triangle. Rising revenue, rising earnings and a rising dividend. When all three move up together, the dividend has fuel behind it. See how the Dividend Triangle works.
Questions about the list
Is the list free?
Yes. Enter your email and you get the current list right away, plus the new version each month.
How often is it updated?
Every month. Companies that stop passing the screens drop off. New ones that pass get added.
How is this different from a high-yield list?
A high-yield list sorts by yield. This one starts with growth. Many stocks on it yield under 3%, and that’s on purpose. A high yield with no growth behind it is often the next dividend cut.
Is this a list of stocks to buy?
No. It’s a starting point for your research. Check each company against your own rules, your portfolio and your goals before you invest. Do your due diligence.
