- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2016Excellent book for investors with just a bit of know how. He doesn't give you any specific investments but illustrates an investing technique which is well proven but needs discipline by the investor.. The book debunks the get rich quick schemes but illustrates how with research and analysis a person can accumulate wealth over a period of time in this low interest environment. Well worth the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2012As a fairly new investor to the dividend growth strategy, I found this book to be an easy read with lots of great information. I particularly enjoyed learning the quadrant analysis. I am normally a more fundamental investor, but this puts a great technical aspect into my evaluation of stocks. You receive a lot of bang for your buck with this book. I highly recommend it. I gave it 4 stars but would have given it 4.5 if I was able to. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there is no such thing as a perfect book in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2012I am a recent retiree attempting to manage a self directed IRA income portfolio. Mike's new book gives guys like us a very definitive guide to sound investing in stocks and funds that allow us to achieve our goals. This is good solid step by step research and planning that leads to finding the "nuggets" among the many stones that litter the investment landscape. No theories just solid proven advice.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2014Helpful for newbies but not much for the intermediate level investor. I found the quadrant approach to be confusing and think a simple table to compare stocks would be more effective. I have followed the author's blog for some time and enjoy it, but the book sort of rambles along. Another issue I have with most self published books is the absence of an index.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2013Mike has a knack for explaining dividend investing in easy to understand terms. He offers a blueprint guide to helping choose stocks and also offers portfolio models to follow. He strives to keep the information light with dashes of humor. I highly racommend this book and the price is a real bargain.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2012I enjoyed the Canadian edition but could not print off the details for studying, also some of the criteria for selection could not be found on TMXMoney. I am still learning and will continue to use his guide, probably buy the printed edition from Amazon Dividend Growth: Freedom Through Passive Income Canadian Editionas well!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2013The book is practical and it is an easy read. I am a South African and some information is not relevant to me, however, the principles are relevant and practical to my trading. Excellent material!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2012I got a lot of good ideas from this book re setting up a well balanced portfolio. I am still learning the ropes of running my own portfolio and would recommend this book to all investors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reference with no filler
I've probably read over 10 different dividend books, and this one to me seemed to be the most concise and had the least amount of filler. Sure there are books that are very popular and mentioned on many dividend investing websites, but they are all US centered. Nice to see a book use Canadian stocks in the examples, and refer to RSPs and other Canadian items. Unlike some investing books I have read recently, this book does not use some vague magic formula that is only available at the author's subscription-based site, and he is not selling you on a course. Wish I had bought this book earlier, as it would of saved me quite a bit of time reading all those other books.

3.0 out of 5 stars good for beginners
Easy read for novice, and beginners. The links and newsletter much more useful for seasoned investors. I would recommend this book to beginners
